The growth of Yggdrasil is chaotic and wonderful, but there must also be order. This eternal conflict has left Skadi perpetually unsatisfied with that which she sees right in front of her. The earth itself is beautiful from start to finish; it seems, in Skadi's perspective, that what blots the landscape is the presence of beings. All beings, the gods and giants included, have biases and flaws that cloud the pure essence of the Mother. - Enchantment is a school of magic that imbues the recipient with some property or grant the caster power over another being. Enchantment spells affect the minds of others, influencing or controlling their behavior. You can find a list of Enchantment spells here.
- Illusion Magic
- Illusion is a school of magic that alters perception or creates false images. Illusion spells deceive the senses or minds of others. They cause people to see things that are not there, not see things that are there, hear phantom noises, or remember things that never happened. You can find a list of Illusion spells here.
- Power Set Samples
- Enchantment:
Power Set Justification: spells that "diminish"- Level One: Bane: You may choose up to five creatures within 60 feet of you. Failing to brush off the spell results in the affected creatures struggling to perform tasks that require verbal or physical input for up to 10 minutes.
- Level Two: Confusion: This spell assaults and twists creatures' minds, spawning delusions and provoking uncontrolled action. Choose a point within 90 feet of you: any creatures within 10 feet of that point who cannot resist the effects begin to behave erratically, such as walking in a random direction or forgetting what they were doing, for up to four hours.
- Level Three: Feeblemind: You blast the mind of a creature that you can see within 150 feet of you, attempting to shatter its intellect and personality; if the target cannot resist, they are reduced to a "blank slate." The creature cannot use magic, understand language, or communicate, though they can identify and follow their allies. This effect lasts for four hours, or until a god or someone with Greater Restoration heals them.
Illusion: Power Set Justification: spells that "conceal"- Level One: Disguise Self: You make yourself, including your clothing, armor, weapons, and other belongings on your person, look different for up to four hours. You can't change your body type (i.e. from humanoid to avian), so you must adopt a form that has the same basic arrangement of limbs, and may only appear as one foot taller or shorter than your real form. Otherwise, the extent of the illusion is up to you. The changes wrought by this spell fail to hold up to physical inspection, and anything you pick up after the spell is cast is not included in its effects.
- Level Two: Greater Invisibility: You or a creature you touch becomes invisible for up to four hours. Anything the affected creature is wearing or carrying is invisible as long as it is on the target's person. The spell ends if the affected creature casts magic at any time. The spell's effects do not include anything you pick up after it has been cast.
- Level Three: Seeming: This spell allows you to change the appearance of any number of creatures that you can see within 30 feet of you. You give each target you choose a new, illusory appearance; once the spell has been cast, the illusory appearance cannot be modified. The spell lasts for up to four hours or until you dismiss it, and anything you pick up after the spell has been cast is unaffected, though it can be absorbed into the illusion.
You may select or adapt either of these power sets for use! ❧ how to pick your power.All of this crazy nonsense said, there are three ways you can choose your power: - pick one of the above samples: the easiest solution! We've already presented you with two power sets following a logical progression of development within your god's realm of magic. You can swap some levels out or adapt them in some way, but it's there if you'd like to rely on it.
- pick spells from the D&D spell list: this may require some finagling, but we highly recommend this! Follow the links above to select three spells by increasing level that seem related to each other in some logical way. You may pick any three spells you wish, but the levels should follow the general guideline of:
- First Level: cantrip - 2nd level
- Second Level: 2nd level - 5th level
- Third Level: 5th level - 9th level
If some spells don't make sense, or if you know what they do but don't know how it would work in game, let us know and we'll help you adapt it to our world. If you find one spell you like but you don't know what to do about the others, let us know and we can provide suggestions for the rest. If you are familiar with the D&D spell system and want to create a set that is relevant to your god's domain but is not in their listed schools of magic, you can still apply for it as an original set! - provide a well-balanced original power set of your own: this will be highly scrutinized by the mods for fairness, so plan accordingly! Consider your god's domains and realm of magic, and come up with one central power along with two logical levels of progression building upon that core magic. The levels should be appropriately along the lines of: weak - strong - powerful. There must also be reasonable limitations on your suggested power. The mods may make adjustments as they see fit before approval. You may use the Superpower Wiki if you'd like, but please provide links for reference.

A mod will respond to your comment with APPROVED/REVISIONS/REJECTED along with clearer descriptions of your powers or additional comments.
